Love told me - an interactive project

In considering the nature of and mechanics of stand-up comedy it has come to my attention that love is rarely spoken of and when it is, it is usually mocked and reviled. I am curious about the idea of creating comedy about love from a different perspective. This blog is intended to give people a chance to submit stories and ideas that are based on things they have learned and experienced because of love. I am going to use some of these stories and ideas to help develop material for a stand-up show entirely devoted to the subject of romantic love and what it means and does to people. I am looking for things that are as real as possible and not things that are presented as comedy; I want to know as much as possible about the subject, and then turn it into comedy. Please let me know your genuine thoughts, ideas, experiences and emotions, don't submit a comedy piece.

The title of the project (and the blog) is "Love told me" and I hope this helps to provide a sense of direction. What I am interested in finding out is what you learned and experienced specifically because you were or are in love. Love can tell you many things, people have done some amazing things because of it - I want to know what some of them are. I would also like to clarify that I am talking specifically about romantic love: loving another person. Not the love of a car, or a dog or a football team.

If you have something you would like to submit please click on "comments" below and let me know - I will be creating a website soon to help showcase some of the content that I receive - stay tuned. I am very excited about this project and look forward to hearing from as many people as possible so please do spread the word.

A million tiny thanks ............. Christopher
